SIMS Parent App

The academy uses SIMS Parent App to provide parents with electronic copies of reports, teacher assessment data, student attendance details and timetable information. Parents can also use the data collection facility to inform the academy of any changes in parental or student personal information.

Parents will receive an email from ‘noreply@sims.co.uk’ which contains instructions on how to sign into the app. It is important that this sender is not blocked in your email system and you should check your junk/spam folder if necessary.
An email will be sent to parents when teacher assessment data or reports are available to view.

If you experience any problems with SIMS Parent App, please email simsparent@open-academy.org.uk who will be happy to assist.

Once you have been invited to join SIMS Parent and you have set up your account, the SIMS Parent app can be downloaded for free from either the Apple app store or the Google Play store. Please search for SIMS Parent and follow the download and registration instructions.
Once you have downloaded the app, you can use your email address login details to access your SIMS Parent account.

You can also download the Parent App from the Apple or Android App stores.

How to access SIMS parent (website)
Once you have been invited to join SIMS Parent and you have set up your account, please either use the link on the school’s website in 'quick links' on the home page, or click here to take you to SIMS Parent
You will then be required to log in to SIMS Parent using your email address login details which you used to activate your account.

For the Parent App, you will have been sent a Registration Link. When you follow that link for the first time, you will be asked to associate your Parent App account with another account, such as a Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft or Office 365 account. Once you have used the Registration Link, you need to use the normal logon link to log in.
It is this associated account you use from then on when logging on to the Parent App - there is no separate username and password for the Parent App.

- I haven't received the invitation email.  What should I do?

In order for us to be able to send out the Parent App invitation email we need your email address. Please contact the academy at simsparent@open-academy.org.uk or call us on 01603 481 640 to update your information.

- Can the Parent App be accessed on a laptop or home computer as well? (Web version)

Yes. The Parent App can be accessed via the App on a smart phone or website here:

https://www.sims-parent.co.uk

https://www.sims-student.co.uk

- I was able to use Parent App until now but suddenly it doesn't let me log in.

We do not manage the login details for the new Parent App now. You should be able to sign in using your own logins that you used at registration. These logins could be your Facebook / Gmail / Twitter / Microsoft. So for example if you registered with your Facebook account then you login to the Parent App with your Facebook username and password.

Do you remember which account of yours (Facebook / Gmail / Twitter / Microsoft) you originally registered with? You can only login using those account usernames and passwords.
