LEAD TEACHER - SPECIALIST RESOURCE BASE (Autism)
MPS/UPS
+ SEN allowance £4,479 (pro rata)
Part Time (job share) 2 days per week
Required as soon as possible
Temporary until 31 August 2022 in the first instance

We are looking for an experienced, committed and enthusiastic teacher with a background in SEND who
would welcome the opportunity of directing the provision of the Specialist Resource Base (SRB) for autistic
students at the Open Academy.
This is a job share opportunity with the current postholder.

The SRB is commissioned by Norfolk County Council to provide high quality, effective and flexible support
for a maximum of ten autistic students.
Working with a member of the Senior Leadership Team and with dedicated Teaching Assistants, the SRB
is well resourced and welcomes and supports students and their families.

We would be delighted to hear from you if you have:
• Degree Status
• Qualified Teacher Status
• Secondary School teaching and teaching practice across the age and ability range
• Specialist experience with SEN students and/or autistic students
• Familiarity with SEN regulations and local authority procedures
• Commitment to community and parental involvement
• A desire to make a positive difference to young people’s lives

 HLTA - ASSISTANT SPECIAL RESOURCES BASE
(Autism) LEAD

Salary Scale F point 12 to 17 (pro rata)
32 hours per week. term time plus one week
Salary range Scale F point 12 £22,183 to point 17 £24,491 (Pro Rata)
Actual Salary £18,995 to £20,972

would welcome the opportunity of assisting the SRB Lead Practitioner in the management and organization
of our Specialist Resource Base (Autism).

position, and you fulfil the following criteria:

• A good secondary education with GCSEs in English and Maths and/or degree.
• Good ICT and organisational skills
• The ability to relate to and motivate young people
• Flexibility and the ability to react quickly to changing daily routines
• The desire to make a real difference to young people’s life chances
• Experience of working with autistic students is desirable but not essential
