Student Leadership

“Leadership” is the second of our school's core principles - and is integral to our work here at the Open Academy.

It is our mission to give our Students the opportunity to become highly effective leaders, who leave our school better placed to lead and serve the communities they will enter as young adults.

At the very heart of the leadership programme, is a desire to offer our Students a training ground and a wealth of experiences, from which to hone their leadership skills.  Over the course of the year this will involve students inventing, devising and then leading projects, taking part in a leadership training programme, attending meetings to help shape the school and community of tomorrow and, for the first time, take part in the National "Archbishop's Youth Award" qualification.
