Teacher of Computer Science

Benefiting from a landmark building, Open Academy is a popular, thriving, oversubscribed academy with rising GCSE results and an Ofsted report which deems us to be ‘good in all areas’. The Faculty of Applied Learning is a strong faculty which is extremely well-resourced.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic hard-working, talented and creative Teacher of Computer Science to join us in January 2018, or earlier by mutual agreement.

 

We would be delighted to hear from you if you are:

  • An excellent classroom practitioner of Computer Science – or someone who has the potential to become excellent
  • Able to teach Computer Science at KS3, KS4 and KS5
  • Someone who sees the potential of computer programming to engage students
  • Optimistic and enthusiastic
  • Determined to make a real difference to children’s life chances 

This post may be suitable for an NQT or a more experienced colleague.

Full Time is preferred but Part Time may be considered.

Actual (pro rata) Salary range Scale 6/S01 point 26 £16,688 to point 31 £19,733

We are looking for a multi-skilled, dynamic individual to encourage and support students from Y7 upwards in all aspects of their planning for their futures. This will involve ensuring students are outward-looking, realistic and aspirational.
 
We would be delighted to hear from you if you:
 
  • Have a relevant Level 4 qualification in CIEAG
  • Have experience of working one to one with young people
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Are literate and organised
  • Are optimistic and enthusiastic
  • Are determined to make a real difference to young people’s life chances
